How to Become a Hollow-in-Type Soul
In Type Soul, becoming a Hollow is a big decision because it’s permanent. You must create a new character to start this path, as it cannot be reversed. This journey takes you through several stages of Hollow progression, each offering exciting challenges and powerful rewards.
Fishbone to Menos
Your Hollow journey begins as a Fishbone, the first stage. To evolve into a Menos, you need to defeat other Hollows. These can be NPCs or players. After defeating them, eat their body parts to gain EXP. Once you’ve collected enough EXP, you’ll progress to the next stage.
Menos to Adjuchas
To evolve from Menos to Adjuchas, you need to use a different strategy. First, step on defeated Hollows to gain EXP. Before doing this, unlock and equip the Menos Cero ability from the Kido skill tree. Avoid removing your mask at this stage, as it will weaken your form, making you a less powerful Arrancar.
Adjuchas
As an Adjuchas, cracks will appear on your screen, symbolizing your Hollow mask. To gain more cracks, defeat Adjuchas NPCs in Hueco Mundo, earning 2 cracks per kill, or let other players defeat you to gain 5 cracks. Collect enough cracks to advance, but keep your mask on to maintain your strength.
Albino Adjuchas to Vasto Lorde
Once you have collected 25 cracks, your character will evolve into an Albino Adjuchas. If you are defeated by a player who is also an Albino Adjuchas, you reset back to 0 cracks. To unlock Vasto Lorde from this form, you can do one of two things:
- Defeat another Albino Adjuchas player.
- Follow the moving lines on your screen to locate and defeat a Vasto Lorde NPC. If another Albino Adjuchas defeats you, your cracks will reset to zero. If you are defeated by the Vasto Lorde NPC, you will revert back to Menos.
Like Menoscars, you do take off your mask as an Adjuchas to evolve, but your form will still be weaker.
Vasto Lorde to Vastocar
As a Vasto Lorde, remove your mask by pressing the Control key and K simultaneously to become a Vastocar, the final and most powerful stage in the Hollow progression.
